Mission

Most people who know the term, "channel changer," know that it is a slang term some use when referencing a remote control.  The reason behind why this site is called "The Channel Changer," is two-fold.  First of all, yes, the name is a play on my last name "Chan" and that was completely intentional on my part.  The second and more important reason for the name is it perfectly captures the essence of the content I want to create.  I want to be "The Channel Changer," a remote control, that helps people discover new ways of thinking about the content we consume on a daily basis.  Just like a remote, I want this site to allow people to "channel surf" through various media related topics some of which they may already be interested in and others that they may discover for the first time.  There will be articles about movies, sports, television shows, music, anime, video games, etc... and I hope to make all of them fun, creative, and thought-provoking reads.  I hope that many of you will continue the conversations in the comments section and that no one would be afraid to chime in with their own opinions.  The ultimate challenge of "The Channel Changer" is for people to think critically about the things we see, listen to, and read.  If my thoughts can help people do that, then that is more than good enough for me.
